\"Lyric<\/a>We lost an immensely influential songwriter this week. With so many amazing songs to choose from\u2014Suzanne<\/em><\/a>, Famous Blue Raincoat<\/em><\/a>, and First We Take Manhattan<\/em><\/a>, just to name a few\u2014Leonard Cohen inspired many great musicians who followed him. It was tough choosing which one to honor him with in this week’s Lyric of the Week. Ultimately, I went down the well-worn path.<\/p>\n

Remember Leonard Cohen<\/a> with Hallelujah<\/em><\/a> (from 1984’s Various Positions<\/em><\/a>)<\/p>\n

\nIt goes like this the fourth, the fifth<\/em>
\nThe minor fall, the major lift<\/em>
\nThe baffled king composing Hallelujah<\/em><\/p>\n

\nAnd from your lips she drew the Hallelujah<\/em><\/p>\n
