\nDialog swam from his pen like pollywogs<\/em>
\nHe knew better that perfume was gravity<\/em>
\nPulling him closer to what could be tragedy<\/em>
\nLove is blind, deaf and dumb, but never mind<\/em><\/p>\n

You better catch me when I fall<\/em>
\nI’m on my roller skates<\/em>

\nI land in your arms even though it’s wrong<\/em>

Intermission gave way to a miracle<\/em>
\nThe birth of an accident grew to a spectacle<\/em>
\nThat couldn’t wait<\/em>
\nThe mother was three weeks late<\/em>
\nSo Father Mason clutching his crucifix<\/em>
\nBaptized the baby in whiskey and licorice<\/em>
\nWhat a lovely way<\/em>
\nDrowning sins in tooth decay<\/em><\/p>\n

Looks like our hero’s gonna fall<\/em>
\nThe bough’s about to break<\/em>
\n‘Cause any ole way that I fall<\/em>

\nWith our lovely new mistake<\/em><\/p>\n

The ending turned tragic when many years later<\/em>
\nThe baby had grown up and married a pop singer<\/em>
\nI guess it was her turn to make (her first mistake)<\/em><\/p>\n
