\"Lyric<\/a>In an effort to make Suitcase Full of Dimes<\/em> as much about discovery as it is about jogging the memory of the familiar, every Sunday I’ll be posting lyrics to a song that I find has a nice turn of phrase, an entertaining story line, or is just plain fun to sing along to in the shower or on the morning commute.<\/p>\n

Since it’s a Sunday, this week’s song is one of those great songs to sing along to on the radio. I especially love the “ta ta ta ta’s” near the end.<\/p>\n

\nCharcoal burning everywhere<\/em>
\nRows of houses that are all the same<\/em>
\nAnd no one seems to care<\/em><\/p>\n

See Mrs. Gray, she’s proud today<\/em>
\nBecause her roses are in bloom<\/em>
\nAnd Mr. Green, he’s so serene<\/em>
\nHe’s got a TV in every room<\/em><\/p>\n

Another Pleasant Valley Sunday<\/em>
\nHere in status symbol land<\/em>
\nMothers complain about how hard life is<\/em>
\nAnd the kids just don’t understand<\/em><\/p>\n

Creature comfort goals<\/em>
\nThey only numb my soul<\/em>
\nAnd make it hard for me to see<\/em>
\nMy thoughts all seem to stray<\/em>
\nTo places far away<\/em>
\nI need a change of scenery<\/em><\/p>\n
